The most-talked about actress in the country right now, Sonam Kapoor headed straight to the prestigious Festival de Cannes after walking the aisle with Delhi based businessman, Anand Ahuja. And, the newlywed actress is making a rather subtle statement at the international film festival. Unlike her previous risque outings, the actress has opted for safe ensembles this time around. But no prizes for guessing that the actress is looking resplendent like never before.
Sonam has showcased four looks during her Cannes' 2018 outing till now and she is all about grace and poise on and off the red carpet. Here's a look at all the lovely ensembles donned by the pretty lady at Cannes this year.
The Bhane love
Day 2 of her Cannes' sojourn saw Sonam being true to her darling husband. The actress lovingly donned Bhane (a fashion label owned by Anand Ahuja) denims along with a crisp white shirt from Simone Rocha. The actress accessorised her look with studded sandals from Sergio Rossi Official.
This classic white shirt, blue denim, and purple lips may honestly be our favourite, especially paired with her bridal mehendi.
The international lehenga
Sonam wore a white Ralph & Russo ensemble inspired by the Indian lehenga-choli. Yes, the fashionista who made designer gowns trendy in India ditched the gown and opted for a lehenga, custom-made for her by Ralph and Russo. Sonam finished off her look with elegant earrings by Chopard and an unmissable parandi (read traditional Indian hair accessory) wrapped around her neat braid.
Going all floral at Cannes
After her scintillating red carpet walk, the diva attended the event dressed in a green floral number with falling tulle sleeves by Delpozo. Sonam completed her look with green earrings, a bright red clutch and red velvet peep toes.
For her last photo shoot with L'Oreal at Cannes Sonam wore a stripped Emilia Wickstead dress, paired with oversized sunnies from Bottega Veneta.
For her last appearance for the year, she picked this beautiful and classic Vera Wang tulle gown.
Sonam's sister Rhea Kapoor has styled all her Cannes look, along with Conde Nast fashion director Deep Kailey.
Her makeup has been done by Namrata Soni and her hairstyles by international artist Stephane Lancien.
She kept her makeup fun and light, with pink-red hued lips and bright yellow tinged eyelids and thick lashes.
She picked this nude and golden rod strapless ballgown with corset-inspired detailing and a beautiful crinkle tulle skirt from Vera Wang's Spring 2019 Bridal Collection.
It is accented by a nude hand-fringed silk organza flower, which Sonam has matched with the pop of colour on her eyes. She picked bespoke Chopard jewellery to go with the romantic look.
With this final look, the newly wedded Sonam will be bidding adieu to the Cannes red carpet, until next year. She will head back to Mumbai to promote her upcoming film, Veere Di Wedding, produced by her sister Rhea Kapoor, and starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Swara Baskar.
